Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Next week on Emmerdale, there’s high drama on the day of baby Esther’s christening.
Elsewhere, Cain is being hassled by a blast from the past while in prison, while Nate spots a clue to Mackenzie’s secret.
Here’s a full collection of 11 big moments coming up.
1. Samson snubs his daughter’s christening
The day of baby Esther’s christening arrives and Amelia is pleased when Noah continues to support her.
The same can’t be said for Samson, who stubbornly refuses to join Lydia as she leaves for the happy event.
2. Charity is arrested
The atmosphere at the christening is spoiled when Chloe and Amy argue with Chas and Charity following the recent revelations over Al’s affair.
Things get particularly nasty between Amy and Charity, resulting in a physical altercation outside the church.
PC Swirling witnesses the incident and questions both of them down at the station. After hearing both versions of events, Swirling places Charity under arrest.
3. Amy and Chloe are put under pressure
When Charity is released pending further investigation, Mack tries to convince Chloe to change her statement over what happened.
Chloe also confronts Amy for lying in her statement against Charity, pointing out that Charity could go to prison.
4. Nate becomes suspicious
With the sisters now at odds over Charity, an unimpressed Amy suggests that it’s time for Chloe to move out.
When Mackenzie finds out what’s going on, Nate becomes suspicious over his strange reaction. Is he closer to finding out the truth over the father of Chloe’s baby?
Chloe fails to be honest with Amy, pretending that she’ll have a place to stay if she moves out. However, it’s not long before Amy starts to feel guilty for turning her back on Chloe.
5. Moira, Amy and Kyle spark suspicion
Kyle briefly disappears while attending the Christmas choir event with his family. Amy and Moira are concerned to spot him speaking to PC Swirling about Cain.
Amy and Moira quickly step in before Kyle can say anything about his own guilt, but Swirling is curious and can see that Cain’s family are clearly hiding something.
6. Cain deals with a blast from the past
At the jail, one of the prison officers gives Cain some letters from someone who has been writing to him.
There’s a similar mystery back at Butler’s Farm, as Kyle and Isaac receive presents from an anonymous person. When Moira mentions this to Cain during a visit, he hides his concern over the situation.
Later, Cain takes action by speaking to this mysterious person over the phone. Cain has a request for his unknown contact, but it’s refused and he ends up slamming down the phone in frustration.
7. Leyla faces Christmas heartbreak
Jimmy and Nicola invite Liam to enjoy Christmas with them, rather than spending it alone. However, Liam proves popular in the village as Rishi gives him a similar invitation.
Things aren’t looking so good for Leyla, who hides the fact that she’ll be spending Christmas alone.
8. Sam and Lydia receive sad news
Sam and Lydia face heartbreak before Christmas when Rhona delivers some bad news.
The couple hear that their last remaining pig will have to be put down.
9. Marcus is uncomfortable over Greg
Marcus worries when Ethan mentions that his boss Greg is coming to lunch again. Feeling uneasy after what happened during Greg’s previous visit, Marcus makes an excuse not to attend.
Later, Marcus changes his mind – but will he regret it?
10. Ethan and Marcus consider the next step for their relationship
Ethan and Marcus look for their own place. Amelia gives them the idea of buying Harriet’s empty house following her recent death.
Although the property is out of their price range, Ethan and Marcus agree to put in a bid – but they’re soon left disappointed.
11. Nate deals with some bad news
Nate is hoping to spend some time with his daughter Frankie over Christmas.
Sadly, Nate receives news from Tracy and is upset to learn that he won’t be able to see Frankie until the New Year.
