Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Griff Reynolds has hinted at a sinister plan in Coronation Street‘s racism storyline.
Earlier this week, the racist agitator enacted a sinister plot to fool his followers after a confrontation with Alya Nazir.
Alya had objected to Griff’s bullying of councillor Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and threatened to reveal his racist comments. When Griff made a snide comment about her late father, Alya elbowed him in the face.

Griff saw the confrontation as an opportunity to concoct a lie, so he recorded a video claiming he’d been attacked by a ‘Muslim gang’. No such gang actually existed but Griff’s followers bought his lies.
Griff then enlisted Max Turner to supposedly help him get even by creating a new video showing his injuries, only this time he included racist commentary in the clip as well.
Later, Griff made a sinister revelation to Spider that he had big plans for grooming Max, with Spider having to hide his anxiety about the youngster getting caught up in this evil gang.

Viewers know that Spider is actually working undercover with police to infiltrate Griff’s racist group, so he has to be careful about giving away his secret.
Will Spider be able to sway Max away from Griff without blowing his cover?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
