EastEnders extends early release iPlayer episodes

EastEnders spoilers follow.

The BBC has released the upcoming schedule for EastEnders, confirming that the soap will continue to be released on iPlayer ahead of broadcast.

The soap will air on Monday 19, Tuesday 20, Thursday 22, and Friday 23 at 7.30pm on BBC One, with the episodes also being released on the streaming service at 6am. Episodes had previously been released early in order to accommodate for the World Cup schedule.

Confirming the news via the EastEnders Twitter account, the statement read: “Mark it in your calendars, this week’s #EastEnders schedule is below on @BBCOne & @BBCiPlayer!”

There’s plenty for fans to look forward to as the soap’s dramatic Christmas storylines are set to reach their climax.

Upcoming scenes will see Alfie Moon continue with his attempts to win back his ex-wife Kat Slater, despite her engagement to Phil Mitchell.

Following an eventful pantomime, which sees the pair playing Snow White and Prince Charming, Alfie is determined to spend Christmas with Kat and the boys – but his plans are thrown into jeopardy when Phil unexpectedly returns to the square.

Elsewhere, Janine’s wedding to Mick finally arrives, but things don’t go smoothly for the couple as Janine’s scheming ways are exposed, leading to an explosive exit storyline for the pair.

While the exact circumstances of Mick and Janine’s exit are being kept under wraps by the soap until Christmas Day, leaked images show that a high-stakes car chase will ensue after Janine flees Albert Square, leading to what might be a grisly end for Mick.

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
