Emmerdale prison shock for Cain, Coronation Street baby dilemma, EastEnders funeral and more soap spoilers

1. Emmerdale: Kyle’s behaviour concerns Cain

(Tuesday at 7.30pm on ITV1)

Desperate to end the cover-up over Al’s death, Matty begs Moira and Amy to go to the police and reveal Kyle is to blame. Although they ignore his plea, Amy and Moira are clearly concerned about Kyle’s fragile state.

When Amy agrees to let the lad visit Cain, Moira fears their pact to keep quiet is crumbling.

The next day, as Kyle looks forward to seeing his dad, he overhears Matty urging Moira and Amy to get him professional help.

Later, in the prison visiting room, Kyle breaks down as he’s reunited with Cain, who’s shocked to see how much his son is struggling. As the young killer struggles to contain his emotions, Amy and Cain worry it’s only a matter of time before the terrible truth is revealed.

(Wednesday at 8pm on ITV1)

Summer’s baby lie is under threat when Mike and Esther insist on dropping her at the hospital for her 12-week scan. The couple agree to wait outside, but as Summer and Aaron play for time, Mike suddenly appears and announces he should attend the appointment with Summer.

Realising they can’t keep up the pretence, Summer and Aaron are forced to come clean. With the truth out, the teens panic over how they’ll raise £10,000 to pay Mike back.

In desperation, Summer summons Billy, Todd and Paul together, revealing she and Aaron plan to go travelling for a year and need the money to cover their costs.

However, Summer is soon thrown a lifeline from Mike and Esther, who insist they’ll write off the debt and give her even more money on the condition she’ll be a surrogate for their baby.

Although she’s clearly tempted, Billy is totally against the idea and threatens to report Mike and Esther to the police if Summer proceeds.

3. EastEnders: Walford says goodbye to Dot

(Monday at 7.35pm on BBC One)

As the day of Dot’s funeral arrives, residents from Walford’s past and present gather to bid a final farewell. Sonia’s in a state at not having written her eulogy and is supported by Martin, who encourages her to speak from the heart.

Later, the locals line the streets to say goodbye to their beloved Dot as she leaves Albert Square for the last time. At the church, the mourners gather – including Colin, Mary and Disa, and Lofty arrives mid-service, just as Sonia is about to deliver her eulogy.

Afterwards at the wake, Jack pays tribute to Dot as Jim’s true love, while Linda’s heart is in her mouth as Lauren – whose is also back for the funeral – has a go at her for breaking Max’s heart.

Outside The Vic, Sonia bumps into Reiss Colwell, who reveals he’s Dot’s great nephew. Swept up in the emotions of the day, they end up sharing a moment together.

The next morning, Sonia asks Reiss if he’ll stick around in Walford to support her through Dot’s will reading as she’s concerned about being made homeless if Dotty inherits her grandma’s house.

But as Dot’s solicitor Kenneth Foskett arrives to discuss his client’s final wishes, Sonia, Jack, Dotty and Reiss are all stunned by what he has to say.

4. Hollyoaks: Dave’s secret is exposed

(Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Dave’s still reeling that Honour knows his ex-wife took out a restraining order against him, but there’s no time to explain himself as Honour’s sister Mei Lian and her family descend on them.

The couple put on a united front in front of their guests, but Dave storms off after overhearing Honour saying how many times he has let her down.

Later on, Honour tracks Dave down to The Loft and he finally opens up about what happened with his former spouse.

Meanwhile, Honour’s niece Shing Lin is buzzing to be in the village and jumps at the chance of joining Mason at a party the local teens are throwing.

The sassy newcomer turns heads as she arrives and suggests a game of ‘never have I ever’, but the evening turns sour when Leah calls Mason a virgin in front of everyone.

Feeling humiliated, Mason takes pictures of a drunken Leah conked out on the bed and uploads them to the Men’s First chat. But when his family discover what he has done, Mason is forced to face the consequences of his actions.

5. Emmerdale: Chas is caught out

(Thursday at 7.30pm on ITV1)

Chas is looking to the future this week as she vows to forget her affair with Al and fully appreciate her life with Paddy and Eve.

Supported by Paddy, Chas enjoys an afternoon of Christmas decorating with their daughter, leaving her more in love and grateful for her little family. When Paddy surprises her with a thoughtful gift, Chas is ashamed at how close she came to leaving him.

Unfortunately, this realisation may be too little, too late when Chloe informs Belle that Al was with a mystery lover on the night that Faith died. Belle immediately realises that it was Chas and she never ended her affair.

Belle confronts Chas, who is forced to admit the truth, leading Belle to suggest she was the reason Cain supposedly killed Al.

While Chas panics her cousin might out her secret, she’s delighted to hear Paddy has booked them a surprise getaway. However, Belle can’t keep quiet any longer and ends up breaking down on Moira, admitting what she knows.

As furious Moira puts two and two together over Cain’s imprisonment, Chas prepares for her trip away. But is her past about to catch up with her?

6. Coronation Street: Daniel’s in turmoil over Daisy’s health scare

(Wednesday 8pm on ITV1)

When Daniel spies a magazine article written by Bethany Platt, jealous Daisy is unnerved at the mention of his ex-girlfriend. Daniel is inspired by Bethany’s success and decides it’s time he started writing again.

Later in the week, the couple get a shock when Daisy reveals she has found a lump in her breast. Masking his anxiety, Daniel promises to meet Daisy at the medical centre for her appointment, but ends up knocking back drinks in The Rovers.

Jenny is horrified to realise Daniel let her stepdaughter down, as Daniel broadcasts to the entire pub Daisy may have cancer.

Peter tries to help by telling Daniel alcohol isn’t the answer and Daisy needs him by her side. But Daniel only ends up making matters worse when he drunkenly barges into her appointment.

7. EastEnders: Kat questions her future with Phil

(Wednesday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Alfie and Kat find themselves in a reflective mood on the anniversary of Nana Moon’s death as they remember her final wish was that they would be together.

Kat is later left frustrated when Phil refuses to answer her calls, leading Alfie to question if she’s happy with her decision to marry him. What will she say?

Over at Number 25, a row erupts between Sharon and Kat, but the foes eventually bond over the challenges of being Phil Mitchell’s other half. Kat tells Sharon she will find love again, however she insists she doesn’t need a man.

Meanwhile, Alfie continues his quest to win back Kat by trying to cast her as Snow White to his Prince in the panto. But his romantic dream is ruined when Honey wows at the audition, and Sharon gives her the lead role instead.

8. Hollyoaks: Warren is hospitalised

(Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

With Warren’s health in decline, Norma instructs Grace to manage an important counterfeit money deal, but it’s clear her son has other ideas.

The following day, Norma gives Grace the cash to hand over to her contact, Angus, but on the sly, Warren asks Grace if she wants in on his plan to attack Angus and pocket the dosh.

When Angus arrives, Foxy reviews the fake notes, but events take an unexpected turn and Warren ends up in a critical condition.

Rushing to Warren’s hospital bedside, Norma shows a rare glimpse of her softer side as she breaks down and apologises for letting him down.

After regaining consciousness, Warren discharges himself and returns to the garage to find Norma has given Angus a car.

An argument breaks out between mum and son, resulting in Norma telling Warren he’ll be getting nothing from her. But as Warren vows revenge, a chat with Grace leads Norma to have a change of heart.
