Emmerdale’s Dawn Fletcher to leave Kim Tate furious in 2023 storyline

Emmerdale will feature a clash in the new year when Dawn Fletcher leaves Kim Tate furious in the continuing Home Farm storyline.

This year has seen Claire King’s Kim pitting Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) against each other, making them compete for a new job at Home Farm.

Kim encouraged Dawn to find a nanny to help look after her child and ease the workload, leading Nicky (Lewis Cope) to be hired.

In upcoming scenes, Gabby, who is attracted to Nicky, is warned off the nanny by Kim.

Initially, Dawn and Billy are happy to see how quickly Nicky has settled in as Clemmie and Lucas’ new nanny. But Dawn soon becomes sad when she sees how much fun Nicky and her kids are having while she’s at work and regrets missing out.

Dawn tries to commit to work at Home Farm and power-dresses for a crucial meeting.

However, she becomes guilty over missing Clemmie’s swimming in order to attend the meeting.

This leads to Dawn making a drastic decision, and a massive argument unfolds between Dawn and Kim as the situation threatens to reach boiling point.

Recently speaking about Gabby’s rivalry with Dawn, star Rosie Bentham said: “Gabby kind of reminds Dawn of her past and says, ‘I think I’d be better at this than you’, which is a shame because Dawn and Gabby were really good friends.

“But business gets in the way of that, and there’s a huge rivalry that’s formed.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
