Paddy has told Chas he wants a divorce in emotional Emmerdale scenes.
Earlier this week, Chas finally had to face the music for her lies when Paddy confronted her over her affair with Al and plans to secretly leave the village with Eve.
Much of Friday’s episode saw Paddy having a heart-to-heart with Rhona about what he was going through and why he was struggling to have it out with Chas.
Paddy pointed out that he isn’t much different to Chas, considering his affair with Tess Harris played a part in the end of their own marriage years ago.

“None of this is your fault, Paddy. You’re a good man with a good heart and you deserve better,” Rhona assured him.
Paddy admitted the difficult part is he couldn’t even have it out with Al since the man Chas had an affair with had been killed in a showdown with Cain (and Kyle).
Over at the Woolpack, Marlon confronted Chas, asking why she “always breaks things”, with Chas firing back: “What can I say? I’m a bad person.”
Paddy interrupted, and while he thanked Marlon for sticking up for him, he asked his best mate to leave so he could face off with Chas alone.
He revealed he’d spoken to Aaron and now knows Chas had convinced her own son to leave the village on the day of Liv’s funeral to protect her secret.

“I don’t know who you are,” he admitted.
Chas then broke down as Paddy revealed he’d spent the previous night at the graveside of their daughter Grace, “remembering her” and “all that pain” they’d gone through as a couple.
“There’s no saving this. There’s no coming out the other side, if that’s what you’re clinging onto,” Paddy insisted. “You made your choice.”
Paddy grew heated as he insisted he’d talk to a solicitor about starting divorce proceedings, telling her if she has “a single shred of decency” she won’t stand in his way.
“Oh, and by the way, I’m going to go for custody of Eve,” Paddy revealed. “Unlike you, I will never, ever let her down!”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
