Home and Away star Sophie Dillman has revealed a sweet, secret Easter egg in her scenes with real-life partner Patrick O’Connor.
Dillman and O’Connor play Ziggy Astoni and Dean Thompson, who are a couple in the soap. In an interview with Stuff, Dillman said that the Home and Away writers touchingly sneak in Easter eggs in the show to reference her and O’Connor’s real-life relationship.
Specifically, Ziggy and Dean are currently going through a pregnancy storyline and the writers are taking full advantage of this to give fans a nod toward Dillman and O’Connor.

“The writers have also paid homage to some of the things that are around in Paddy and my lives as well. One of Dean and Ziggy’s suggested baby names, its nickname would be Winnie, and that’s our puppy’s name,” Dillman said.
“It’s really cute that they’ve done that for us and we’ve had a lot of fun playing with that sort of stuff ourselves as well.”
That pregnancy storyline might well be reflected in real life too, as Dillman recently opened up about the possibility of her and O’Connor starting a family of their own.

“It’s not what we want to do right now, but it’s definitely something we want to look into one day. So it’s been fun doing all the hypotheticals,” Dillman said.
“I feel quite blessed being able to practise all of the pregnancy things without the actual pregnancy.”
